What this site is
Under the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), an in-scope crypto provider generally needs an Article 63 CASP authorisation. Eligible financial entities can use the Article 60 notification route for permitted services. Public records are spread across the ESMA register and national regulators. EU MiCA collects the records in one place and links each entry to a primary source.
How we compile the register
- We cross-check each exchange’s status against the official ESMA MiCA register. We also check the home national authority where relevant. These authorities include BaFin, MFSA, CSSF, AMF, AFM, CySEC, FMA and the Central Bank of Ireland.
- The number of MiCA services (out of ten) shown for licensed exchanges is taken from the authorised-services field for the specific legal entity in the ESMA register. A global brand can use different legal entities in different markets.
- An exchange is marked “no licence” only after a dated ESMA entity, brand and website check is combined with relevant NCA or first-party contracting-entity evidence. We mark unresolved cases as “unknown”. “In progress” reflects a public application. “Transitional” reflects a former national grandfathering basis.
- We do not publish ratings, fabricated reviews, or invented bonus figures. Where a fact cannot be verified against a primary source, we say so rather than guess.
Found something wrong or out of date? Licensing changes weekly. Email hello@eumica.com with the exchange and a link to the source, and we will correct it. Always confirm the live status in the ESMA register before acting.
Affiliate disclosure
Some “Visit” links on exchange pages are affiliate or referral links, and we may earn a commission. Eligibility, pricing and rewards vary, so compare the live referral terms with the ordinary non-referral offer. Affiliate relationships do not change an exchange’s status or default order. We report the same register evidence for every exchange. We do not show promotional links for non-current entries.
