BtcTurk MiCA status in detail

BtcTurk does not hold a verified MiCA CASP licence. BtcTurk is on Türkiye’s CMB list of crypto platforms that can operate while licence applications are processed. Inclusion on the list is not a full authorisation. BtcTurk serves the TRY market and is not on the ESMA CASP register.

Practical effect: BtcTurk has no verified CASP authorisation. Check the contracting entity and any separate permissions before you rely on MiCA conduct, safeguarding or complaint rights.

If you hold funds on BtcTurk

  1. Read BtcTurk’s latest notice for your country. It sets any account restrictions and withdrawal deadlines.
  2. Move assets to a wallet you control or to a MiCA-licensed exchange. Send a small test transfer first and check the network.
  3. Keep statements, transaction IDs and the date of each withdrawal.
  4. If a withdrawal fails, write to support and report the firm to your national regulator. The MiCA warning list shows whether a regulator has already flagged it. Read when an exchange can freeze your funds.

Can I still use BtcTurk from the EU?

MiCA does not itself make account holding illegal. National and product rules can still apply. Since 1 July 2026, an in-scope provider generally needs an Article 63 authorisation or an eligible Article 60 notification route. BtcTurk can apply location restrictions or close user accounts.

Is money on BtcTurk protected under MiCA?

BtcTurk has no verified CASP authorisation. Do not assume that MiCA conduct, safeguarding or EU-regulator complaint rights apply to the service. Verify the contracting entity and any separate permissions.
