Yes, Revolut has a current MiCA register entry supervised by CySEC in Cyprus, dated Oct 2025. Cyprus’s CySEC authorised the fintech app’s crypto arm under MiCA in October 2025.

Which Revolut entity holds the MiCA licence

Revolut Digital Assets (Europe) Ltd in Limassol holds Revolut’s MiCA authorisation. Cyprus’s Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) authorised it on 20 October 2025, and CySEC lists it among its Article 63 licensees under licence number CASP001/25. The ESMA register lists six services: custody, operation of a trading platform, exchange of crypto-assets for funds, exchange of crypto-assets for other crypto-assets, placing, and transfers.

Revolut announced the licence on 23 October 2025 and said it would use it across 30 EEA markets. Its Cyprus crypto entity already had CySEC approval as a crypto-asset service provider from August 2022, before MiCA applied. The Dutch AFM register shows Revolut’s cross-border crypto services in the Netherlands from 21 October 2025.

Is Revolut crypto available in Hungary?

The ESMA register lists 28 host states for Revolut Digital Assets (Europe) Ltd. Hungary is the only EEA state missing from that list. Revolut paused most crypto services in Hungary on 7 July 2025, after a new Hungarian crypto law took effect, and restored staking on 25 July 2025. Hungary later removed its conflicting national rules through Act XXXVIII of 2026, and Bitvavo cited that act when it reopened there in September 2026. We could not confirm that Revolut has resumed full crypto services in Hungary since then.

What changed for Revolut crypto users in 2026

Revolut X, the exchange product for more active traders, opened to 30 EEA markets on 13 November 2024. In August 2026 Revolut launched EURR, a euro stablecoin issued by Bridge Building S.A. of Luxembourg, first in Denmark, Poland and Portugal. At the same time it began to withdraw USDT for customers in the EEA and Switzerland, and it converted remaining balances after 31 August 2026.
