Zonda MiCA status in detail

Zonda does not hold a verified MiCA CASP licence. The Polish-rooted exchange had applied for an Estonian CASP authorisation through BB Trade Estonia OÜ. Estonia’s Financial Intelligence Unit partially suspended BB Trade’s virtual currency licence on 18 May 2026 and revoked it on 29 June 2026 after the company failed to comply with a supervisory precept. Harju County Court in Tallinn declared BB Trade Estonia OÜ bankrupt on 27 August 2026. As of 12 October 2026, no Zonda or BB Trade entity appeared in the ESMA CASP snapshot dated 6 October 2026.

Practical effect: Zonda has no verified CASP authorisation. Check the contracting entity and any separate permissions before you rely on MiCA conduct, safeguarding or complaint rights.

If you hold funds on Zonda

  1. Read Zonda’s latest notice for your country. It sets any account restrictions and withdrawal deadlines.
  2. Move assets to a wallet you control or to a MiCA-licensed exchange. Send a small test transfer first and check the network.
  3. Keep statements, transaction IDs and the date of each withdrawal.
  4. If a withdrawal fails, write to support and report the firm to your national regulator. The MiCA warning list shows whether a regulator has already flagged it. Read when an exchange can freeze your funds.

Can I still use Zonda from the EU?

MiCA does not itself make account holding illegal. National and product rules can still apply. Since 1 July 2026, an in-scope provider generally needs an Article 63 authorisation or an eligible Article 60 notification route. Zonda can apply location restrictions or close user accounts.

Is money on Zonda protected under MiCA?
